This popularity stems from its high sugar content (above 75%) and low cellulose, making it an ideal choice for a healthy sweetener and flavor enhancer.

The semi-dry texture, pleasant black-brown color, delicious flavor, and low moisture content (less than 18%) make Sayer Dates a healthy snack. They are also a good source of iron, potassium, minerals, and antioxidants. Moreover, the substantial antioxidant reserves found in these dates are natural gifts in the battle against cancer. The ample magnesium levels in dates can aid patients experiencing digestive discomfort, while the natural iron reserves in dates can effectively address any form of iron deficiency.

Another advantage of Sayer Dates is its ability to be stored for over a year in warehouses and outside of refrigerators. As a result, exporting Sayer Dates is highly convenient, eliminating the need for a refrigerated container. In addition to everyday consumption, Sayer Dates are utilized in various food industries as ingredients in products like cakes, biscuits, sweets, date syrup, date paste, pickles, and lavash. The primary region for harvesting Iranian Sayer Dates is the “Khuzestan” province, responsible for 70% of the cultivated dates being of the Sayer variety.

The color of Sayer Dates is dark brown, sometimes tending towards black and red. Due to their high sugar content, Sayer Dates readily dissolve in water, creating a strong sweetness. The adherence of the pit to the flesh of Sayer Dates is minimal. The pit can be easily and effortlessly separated from the date, making it suitable for pitting. This date variety is commonly used in the production of various confections and beverages as a natural sweetener. Therefore, the primary markets for Sayer Dates include European countries, North America, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, East Asian countries, and more.

Waxing/polishing all date pieces with food-grade oil (if requested by the customer)

Fumigation in an airtight vacuum chamber

Packing in bulk & retail/white labels/private labels

Wrapping plastic around the cartons (shrink wrap)

Loading into 20ft or 40ft dry containers
