Khasouei Dates

Description:

Khaseh Dates, scientifically known as Phoenix dactylifera cv. Khaseh belongs to the Palmaceae family. Khaseh Dates, also known as Khasooei Dates, depending on the variety and the region where they grow, are typically seen in various colors ranging from golden yellow to light brown and from carnelian red to dark brown.

Khaseh Dates, classified as a soft and semi-soft type, has a thin skin that closely adheres to the flesh, and it’s rich in delightful nectar. Despite being the world’s smallest date, Khaseh Dates has gained popularity and holds a unique status among date consumers globally. This is attributed to their well-balanced sweet taste, distinctive flavor, and special shape resembling a dried plum.

The sugar in Khaseh Dates is primarily fructose, and its sucrose content is very low. This type of natural sugar is easily metabolized in the body, which makes the impact of Khaseh Dates’ sugar on individuals with diabetes very minimal. For this reason, the consumption of Khaseh Dates has significantly increased among date consumers in recent years.

This is why despite their small size, they are very energy-rich and provide a good source of daily energy for active individuals, athletes, or those engaging in strenuous physical activities. For instance, a 40-gram serving of Khaseh Dates provides approximately 110 to 130 kilocalories of energy, depending on whether it is the soft or semi-dry variety.

Furthermore, individuals with bone issues or anemia can benefit from daily consumption of these dates due to their mineral content. The fiber present in Khaseh Dates is also recognized as an effective solution for those with digestive problems.
