Date Paste

Description:

Date paste is a sweet and sticky paste that is prepared from fruits of the date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) which is harvested at the appropriate stage of maturity, washed, pitted, and capped. The primary ingredient in date paste is dates themselves, without additives or preservatives.

Date paste has a thick, dense, and smooth consistency. It has a naturally sweet flavor and taste with caramel-like undertones. The date paste is typically light to dark brown, depending on the type of dates used and the processing method that is consistent in color and uniform in texture.

Date paste is a popular ingredient among those seeking natural sweeteners and healthier alternatives to refined sugar or other sweeteners in recipes in their cooking and baking. Its rich sweetness and versatility make it a valuable addition to a wide range of recipes. It is commonly used in baking to sweeten cookies, muffins, energy bars, and other desserts. Date paste is also used in savory dishes, such as marinades and sauces, to add sweetness and depth of flavor.

Date paste retains many of the nutritional benefits of whole dates, including natural sugars, dietary fiber, antioxidants, potassium, and other vitamins and minerals. It is often praised for its natural sweetness and health benefits compared to refined sugars.

Date paste shall be stored in refrigerated facilities or facilities that are well-ventilated, and kept away from heat sources, moisture, insects, and rodents.
