Zahedi Dates

Description:

Zahedi Dates, also known as Zahidi Dates, is the ripe fruit of the Phoenix dactylifera L., a species of date palm from the Palmaceae family. The appearance of Zahedi Dates is characterized by its nearly oval shape, firm and chewy texture, and glossy skin with distinctive wrinkles. Depending on environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and water availability, the skin of the fruit may either remain firmly attached to the flesh or separate from it.

Zahedi Dates exhibit a dark coloration towards the tip, ranging from light brown to dark red, while the portion near the stem, or cap, tends to be pea-colored or pale pink, sometimes even showing a purple-pink hue. Notably, the core of these cultivars is fully detached from the flesh of the fruit, and a delicate white membrane can be found between the core and the edible part. This membrane may either remain connected to the flesh or detach along with the core.
