Rabbi Dates, scientifically known as Phoenix dactylifera cv. Rabbi belonging to the Palmeceae family, are the ripe fruits of date palm trees. This Date is fleshy, relatively large, and is generally considered Semi-dry dates. Rabbi Dates are typically dark brown to almost black in color when they are fully ripe. The exact color may vary slightly depending on factors such as growing conditions and the specific stage of ripeness. When Rabbi Dates is in the Rutab stage (the semi-ripe stage), they may have a greenish hue, but as they fully ripen, they develop the characteristic dark brown to black coloration.

One distinctive feature of Rabbi Dates is their small pit relative to the abundant flesh. The skin of Rabbi dates is typically thin, smooth, and shiny.
